Hosted by Adelaide Rostrum Club 5/6, the Freeman Albert Apponyi Impromptu Public Speaking Competition is held each year to determine who in SA Rostrum is the best Impromptu or Short Notice speaker.

Members of the public are certainly welcome to attend, however the competition is only open to members of Rostrum SA. There is no need to pre-enter, - just turn up on the night and let the organisers know you wish to participate.

Competitors  will be given 15 minutes to prepare a speech, choosing from several topics on offer. Speeches will be for 3 minutes.

The competition will take place

  • in Rymill Park (the usual location - near the lake) near the corner of East Tce & Grenfell St, Adelaide.
  • on Thursday, 5 November 2009
  • at 6.00pm
